One
march night my telephone rang. When I picked up the receiver I heard a
familiar voice. It was Ewa Nowak which said a few sentences but all I can
remember until now were the words: YOU HAVE A BLACK FEMALE DOG.
On
14th March 1991 in Wesoła near Warsaw my first black standard
poodle KUMA FATIMA Merkambertaner was born. She was always my light in the
dark, which has led me to the wide waters of exhibitions and breeding. It
has always been Fatima with which I spent the most exciting cynological
moments and that was her which convinced me that standard poodles are
wonderful dogs. And I want to be always faithful to them.
I
went with Fatima to Finland because I wanted to cover her.

We
went back with nothing – empty covering. That failure made me think
about future breeding so I decided to order a male dog – future sire.
Finns: Anita Honkanen – fancier and the owners of the sire Anna Maija i
Erkki Hasu organized their arrival with the dog to Poland. That time the
lining was a success – 11 puppies (5 females and 6 males). It was 16th September
1993. The father of the puppies was Maestra's
TENERO RANIERO
"RENZO" with wonderful world pedigree.
At the same time Wild
Wine FITZGERALD born on 5th May 1993 was brought by
them to Poland. As a 10 weeks puppy he was big and rather “clumsy”.

He
grew up to be the leading sire in Poland.
Beautiful
puppies (litter L) were very successful both in Poland and abroad.
Especially
interesting are: LOLITTA (owners Beata and Kamil Policht from Przemyśl),
LOVELY KUMA (Krystyna Nowak from Szemrowice),
LEONCIO (Katarzyna Raszkowska from Łódź),
LUDGARDO (Mr and Mrs Garyantysiewicz from Koszalin),
LORETTA (Mr and Mrs Hasu from Finland, now they live in Estonia).
LOVELY
KUMA was the female dog which began the breeding of standard poodles
called “Szemrowicki Dworek”. Covered by FITZGERALD (PENTU) she had
three big litters.
“A”
– especially interesting are: AFRA and ARGOS, “P” – PENELOPA and
PRINCE
and “I” – IRIS which continues the breeding known as “Prudnicki
Dworek”.
After
about two years I repeated the covering. On 5th July 1995 12
puppies were born. Unfortunately one of them was dead and two females died
after two days. 9 puppies were left and it was litter “F”, in which
the most interesting are:
FIONA EMMA (Marzena Kawka from Lublin),
FITZGERALDO (Mr and Mrs Sławiński from Chełm),
FERDINANDO (Mrs Maria Iracka and Mr Tomasz Acher from Warsaw and Błonie),
FITZHERBERTO (Maria Orczyk from Sopot).
FIONA EMMA earlier nicknamed “z Akwak” owned by Marzena Kawka –
litter “S”
– 27th April 1997 (SZEJK SUŁTAN
– Mr and Mrs Badurowicz from Lublin, SIROCCO – Karolina Kubić from
Jabłonna (now USA), SHARON – Magda Dworniczak from Lublin) and later
nicknamed "Nontiscordardime" litter “C” – 4th
July 2001. Here we are approaching the end of the history of the breeding
because we are in the present times. From this litter come: COSA NOSTRA
(Jakub Kruczek from Buczkowice)

continue the line, at least this is what I’m hoping for.
